An ordained Deacon and Elder in Full Connection, Rev. Moody served as Pastor of St. Stephens CME - Winchester, Virginia; St James CME - Lynchburg, Virginia; and Mt. Pisgah CME - Evington, Viriginia. Having served the CME Church for six years, Rev. Moody then accepted an appointment with the United Methodist (UMC) Church. He served as Pastor of the Kelly Circuit for seven years: A four church charge consisting of Court Street UMC - Bedford, Virginia; Halesford, UMC - Moneta, Virginia; Mt. Zion UMC - Goode, Virginia; and New Hope UMC - Chamblissburg, Virginia. After resigning his appointment with the UMC church, Rev. Moody joined the Washington Street Baptist Church - Bedford, Virginia. Believing that all things should be done decently and in order, he was licensed and ordained according to the Baptist Doctrine under the hand of the Rev. Dr. Henry Alvin Henderson. Currently, Rev. Moody jointly serves as First Vice-Moderator of the Peaks of Otter Baptist Association. Rev. Moody is ever conscious of the two-fold nature of his calling: To preach the Word of God and to love God's people. His guiding conviction: to be a witness for Christ and not a judger of men.
