The Purpose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church shall be to uplift the name of Jesus through public worship, Christian Fellowship, Preaching and Teaching of the Gospel. Sharon promotes Christian Education. Ministering to needs within our community, and being the example of Christ and the Universal Church. The Scriptures – The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
The True God – There is one living and true God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Fall of Man – Man was created innocent but fell from grace through sin, bringing spiritual death.
The Way of Salvation – Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who died, was buried, and rose again for our justification.
Justification – Believers are declared righteous through faith in Christ’s redemptive work.
The Freeness of Salvation – The blessings of salvation are available to all through the Gospel.
Regeneration – A spiritual rebirth by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation.
Repentance and Faith – These are inseparable acts in which a sinner turns to God and places faith in Christ.
God’s Purpose of Grace (Election) – God graciously elects individuals to eternal life, but this does not negate human responsibility.
Sanctification – The process by which believers are set apart for God's purpose and grow in holiness.
Perseverance of the Saints – True believers will endure in faith to the end.
A Gospel Church – A visible local body of baptized believers in covenant with Christ to fulfill the Great Commission.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of the church.
The Lord’s Day – Sunday is observed as the Christian Sabbath for worship and spiritual reflection.
The Resurrection and Return of Christ – Jesus will return personally and visibly, and the dead will be raised.
The Judgment – There will be a final judgment where the righteous inherit eternal life and the wicked suffer eternal punishment.
